Professor Paul Dolan speaks on how and why we make choices in our personal lives and in our careers, and how we can make better ones. He speaks to business and public bodies on how behavioural science is able to help them in their own specialised fields of endeavour.
Paul is author of Happiness By Design – published in 2014 with a foreword by Daniel Kahneman. In 2018 he followed up its success with Happy Ever After: Escaping The Myth of The Perfect Life. Caroline Criado Perez described it as ‘Smart, engaging and funny’, saying that it ‘will make you question everything you think you know about what you want’.
Paul is fascinated by the polarization and binary schisms of contemporary, social-media driven discourse. His response is the podcast series, Duck-Rabbit a journey through our polarised culture – and out the other side. Here Paul seeks to find a way through the divisions in society that are making us miserable. It’s iformed, informing, entertaining – and funny!
Paul has turned his attention recently to the divisions that have arisen from Covid lockdown policies and their costs.
