Christiane Amanpour

Christiane Amanpour is a British journalist and television host, working as CNN’s chief correspondent and the host of the CNN international show Amanpour – a nightly global affairs interview program that removed former News of the World editor Piers Morgan from prime-time US television. She is also ABC’s Global Affairs Anchor.

A report by PR firm Burson Marsteller noted that Christiane is the person whose twitter account is followed by the most world leaders, clocking in with a respectable 69. Christiane has reported in many wars and hotspots across the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Israel and Bosnia.

Christiane has a host of awards and honours, including being awarded a CBE in 2007, two Peabody Awards in 1993 and 1998, The Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2011, along with no less than six honorary doctorates.
