SPECIALIST SPEAKERS GDPR STATEMENT

On May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the existing 1995 EU Data Protection Directive.

Plantex Limited trading as Specialist Speakers [hereafter referred to as Specialist Speakers] complies with applicable data protection regulations and is committed to GDPR compliance when the GDPR takes effect May 25, 2018.

ASSESSMENT

Specialist Speakers is continually reviewing where and how our relevant services collect, use, store and dispose of any personal data that we use and hold and updating policies, standards, and documentation as needed.

CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER

Specialist Speakers confirms that it does not and does not intend to hold or to process personal data outside the EEA.

IDENTIFICATION OF RISK

Specialist Speakers is working to identify all data held and to protect and to draw up loss-prevention and mitigation procedures.

TYPES of DATA HELD, USED and PROCESSED

Specialist Speakers does not under usual circumstances hold personal data with the exception of that required for personnel and human resource functions and contact data [identity, phone number and email address] of individual suppliers [speakers] in pursuit of business purposes [offers of contracted work and management of contract]. Bank account details are held for the purpose of making payments to those accounts in settlement of invoices received.

Specialist Speakers does not undertake consumer business [B2C]

Data is not shared with persons who are not employees and/or directors of Plantex Limited.

USE of DATA

The sole of use of personal data with the only unusual exceptional is in order to make offers of work/contract, to process that contract, to liase with supplier and to make payment.

Specialist Speakers use of data complies with the following permissible uses and usages:

Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or in order to take preparatory steps at the request of the data subject.

Processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the data controller except where those interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental freedoms of the data subject, especially where the data subject is a child (cannot be relied upon by public authorities)

Specialist Speakers does not and will not use or process data where the data subject is a child.

Specialist Speakers is entitled to those legal derogationsin force for undertakings with fewer than 250 employees whose processing is occasional and not "high risk".
