Nicki Chapman

Nicki Chapman has hosted numerous factual and entertainment programmes including BBC’s Escape to the Country, Wanted Down Under, its 10th series, City Hospital, Escape to the Sun and coverage of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

She can regularly be heard on BBC Radio 2 sitting in for Vanessa Feltz on the early breakfast show, or presenting one of her documentaries. Her first for the station, The Fuller Picture, about the life and career of Simon Fuller, was broadcast in three parts to critical acclaim, as well as the Monkees Documentary Here We Come – The Monkees at 50!

Nicki started her career as a Promotions Assistant at MCA Records, quickly becoming one of the youngest and most successful publicists in the industry. Three years later she moved to RCA Records as Head of TV Promotions, before joining Brilliant! PR where she was joint partner for five years. Her vast knowledge of the music industry led Nicki to be a judge on ITV’s Popstars, and then subsequently on Pop Idol.

She has also taken part in the BBC’s Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, where she partnered Christopher Biggins in an unforgettable recreation of “We Go Together” from Grease.
