Lucy Verasamy

Lucy Verasamy speaker, weather presenter, meterologist, and event host/moderator in climate and green and renewable energy systems.

Lucy graduated from Brunel University in Geography before pursuing her career in television. She made her TV debut on Sky News with Sunrise in 2005 becoming their regular weather presenter. In 2007 the Sky News website introduced Climate Clinic – Ask Lucy, where questions were put forward by members of the public regarding climate change that Lucy then responded to. In conference Lucy is able to able to deliver a picture of our climate today and possible futures.

In 2010 she joined the ITV team on the newly launched Daybreak as a weather forecaster and environmental correspondent and since 2012 has fronted the national weather forecasts for ITV including as weather expert for the ITV racing team. In late 2020 Lucy began presenting the ITV digital series Climate Crisis: Our Changing World together with colleagues Laura Tobin and Alex Beresford.

A popular face not only on television, but also as a social media personality, Lucy now has over 160,000 social media followers on X, formerly twitter, alone.
