Marie Le Conte is a French political journalist and speaker based in London. She has worked for a range of publications, from the Evening Standard to BuzzFeed News before going freelance in 2017.
Since then, she has been writing for, among others, the New Statesman, Sunday Times, Prospect magazine, the Guardian and Politico. She appears frequently on television and radio, and has been a guest on the Today programme, Any Questions, Newsnight, BBC News and many others, and has appeared on panels in the House of Commons, the Foreign Policy Centre, Chatham House, Science Po Paris, and more.
Marie specialises in British and French politics, and her first book, Haven’t You Heard?: Gossip, power, and how politics really works was published by 535 in September 2019.
Marie is witty in English and French, she’s very well informed, and she tells Brits what their politics look like from the point of view of someone arriving from a long way outside the Westminster Bubble.
