Rasmus Ankersen
In 2012 Rasmus Ankersen wrote The Gold Mine Effect. Rasmus investigated how some nations and cities very often develop a wholly disproportionate quantity of great talent. He followed it up in 2016 with Hunger in Paradise on how highly successful organisations and brands can stay at the top by dealing with the challenge of institutional complacency.
Rasmus is co-founder and CEO of sports investment company Sports Republic, the major shareholder of Southampton FC and Göztepe Spor Kulübü in Izmir, Türkiye and now an investor in French club Valenciennes. He was Director of Football at Brentford FC between 2015 and 2020. Rasmus has worked with some of the world’s most innovative football clubs especially recognised for the use of data to driving decision making.
