Nina Warhurst

Speaker Nina Warhurst has served as political editor at BBC North West. Today she is business and consumer affairs presenter nationally at BBC Breakfast where she often stands in to anchor the show from that famous red sofa. And Nina presents regularly on BBC Radio 5Live and she hosts the BBC’s official Eurovision podcast.

Nina Warhurst’s broadcasting career has taken her around the world – Argentina, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Russia, Israel and the West Bank. Her work as an highly experienced political correspondent means she’s attuned to the nuances of politics and economic discourse and she is an accomplished panel host. In 2017 Nina Warhurst won a Royal Television Society [RTS] award as Best Regional Journalist for her work on BBC’s North West Tonight and Sunday Politics North West.

Nina is a superb interviewer – she has cross-examined three consecutive UK Prime Ministers – two of them in Downing Street. Given her instinctive understanding of politics and finance together with a knowledge of local life she is especially insightful on the effects of economics on people’s lives, especially as it effects the North of England.
