FC is the ethical hacker, Freakyclown. And FC is his real name. It says so on his passport. FC is a global keynote speaker and author famous in cyber security for more than twenty-five years. In that time FC has helped thousands of banks, governments and other enterprises strengthen their digital security systems.

FC’s interest in hacking began at a young age. He soon understood the potential of using his skills for good. As an ethical hacker, his job now is to find vulnerabilities in computer systems and networks before malicious hackers do. FC has worked with numerous organizations and businesses to identify security weaknesses and improve their defenses against cyber criminals. He is former Head of Offensive Cyber Research at aerospace giant Raytheon Technologies.

FC is co-founder of the cyber security company Cygenta where he tests weaknesses in physical, personnel and digital systems. When he is not legally breaking into companies, FC takes audiences on an revealing journey into the mind of the black-hat hacker. He has delivered more than fifty such keynotes including to CPX360, at CERN and Intersec.

FC has also shared his expertise in mainstream media, including the BBC and ITV in the UK, as well as in popular industry podcasts such as Darknet Diaries (episode 66). He has been featured in printed media around the world educating people about cyber security from the hacker’s perspective. He demystifies security with expertise, humour, and with passion. FC’s book How I Rob Banks is published in June 2023.

Originally from the UK, FC works around the world from his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he lives with his wife Jessica Barker who also speaks on contemporary cybersecurity issues.
