Darren Harris

Inspirational speaker and former England blind football captain, Darren Harris, is the founder of Unblind Your Mind, a transformational programme that is built around the key themes of improving confidence, resilience and focus. Darren combines personal stories with positive psychology utilising his Psychology Masters. He has overcome so many hurdles in his life including a cancer diagnosis, sight loss, and homelessness. Despite such immensie challenges Darren went on to become England’s most capped blind footballer, captaining the team, achieving 162 caps and winning 10 World and European medals.  He is a double Paralympian – in both football and judo. As an author Darren Harris contributed to the anthology Transforming Your Life. Darren is a Bachelor of Mathematics and has received an honorary doctorate for outstanding public service. Darren is also a practitioner in corporate governance.

As well as delivering inspiring motivational keynote speeches, Darren leads dynamic interactive masterclasses at corporate events. He uses Football in the Dark to inspire teams to work more effectively and overcome barriers to success.
