Emergency Medical Consultant Chris Turner is also an international inspirational speaker.

For more than twenty years he has led the trauma and cardiac arrest teams at a major hospital trust in the English Midlands. Fascinated by highly performing teams Chris was inspired to found the Civility Saves Lives campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the consequences of behaviours on performance for both individuals and teams. The concept is gaining strength and now widely embraced within healthcare teams and further afield in many other leadership groups.

Chris Turner’s ethos is that, in the complex environment of working groups, we are dependent on cohesive teams. Members of teams will always work more effectively when they have a sense of safety and feel that they have a voice. Chris believes strongly civility between team members creates this positive atmosphere and that this now is widely recognised as a fundamental ingredient of the most impressive teams.
