Speaker Farzana Baduel is a specialist in global strategic communications.
Farzana Baduel is the President-elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) for 2026. She is the CEO of Curzon PR, the London-based strategic communications consultancy that partners with governments, corporations, and development organisations to deliver their communications strategies. Understanding communications in depth in governmental and political domains she is professionally insightful on the nature and risks of misinformation and disinformation in the digital political world.
Farzana serves as the Resident PR Expert at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School, where she advises entrepreneurs and executives on global communications and reputation management. She is a Chartered PR Practitioner and an Honorary Fellow of the CIPR. She was recognised on the PRWeek Power List and named among Provoke Media’s Innovator 25 for EMEA, highlighting her contributions to the sector.
Farzana co-founded the Asian Communications Network, which promotes diversity within the communications industry and serves on the Steering Committee for Socially Mobile, a nonprofit supporting social mobility in the sector. She previously hosted the PRCA podcast, Fuse, and is a now a co-host on Stories and Strategies, the world’s most listened-to PR podcast.
Her board positions include trustee roles at the British Asian Trust, addressing poverty in South Asia, and Soho Theatre, the cultural organisation producing theatre, comedy, and cabaret in London. Farzana is also a trustee of the HALO Trust, the non-government organisation working to clear landmines and other live explosives left behind in conflict zones.
