Specialist Speaker Ben Page is a world renowned social researcher, and expert on trends and public policy and politics. He is a frequent speaker, commentator, and writer on leadership, performance management, value trends, policy, and social research.
Ben is renowned for his work in market research, public opinion, consumer behaviour, trends, and citizen behaviour. Over his career he has directed thousands of surveys. Ben’s focus today is on making statistics understandable and interesting. He joined Ipsos in 1987 after graduating, was part of the leadership in MORI’s first management buyout in 2000, and in 2009, he became Chief Executive of Ipsos MORI in the UK and Ireland. rising to become CEO of Ipsos in the UK in 2009 and global CEO in Paris in 2021. Ipsos is one of the world’s largest research and polling companies operating in 220 cities globally with 18,000 people, working for the world’s largest companies, many governments and global institutions like the UN and World Bank. Ben has worked extensively with both public and private sectors: companies such as Shell, IBM, Sky TV, and government departments including the Home Office, Department of Health, Cabinet Office, and 10 Downing Street in the UK.
In his 38 years at Ipsos, Ben has been a frequent writer and speaker on trends, leadership and performance management, and directed thousands of surveys examining consumer trends and citizen behaviour.
In August 2025, it was announced that he will be succeeded at as CEO at Ipsos MORI by Jean-Laurent Poitou.
Currently Ben is a Visiting Professor at King’s College London, and a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. He sits on the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) at UK Reasearch & Innovation. He serves on advisory groups at the Social Market Foundation and is a Patron of Create Streets, a charity promoting human scale development.
