Having started her career as a mathematician and inevitably going into finance, Gemma migrated from finance to advertising. She moved on to become Tech Innovation Strategist at Ogilvy Labs and then to her current role as a new technologies consultant, producer and writer, working with companies such as The Ideas Foundation and The British Science Association. Gemma writes and podcasts for The Guardian, Singularity Hub, The Drum, Adweek, Imperica & Ogilvydo and specialist technological publications on change and progress within the world of science.
Co-founder of Science; Disrupt, Gemma brings together innovators with industry. She markets new ideas and organises events that showcase talent that may lack a platform. In recognition of her work Gemma was recent winner of an FDM Every Woman in Technology Award for inspirational female founders of a stand up less than two years old.
