Absolutely loved by live event audiences, BBC TV and radio presenter Jason Mohammad is a brilliant MC and host – both in person and virtual. Jason is one of today’s most sought-after hosts in the world of events. Known for his role on BBC One’s fast-moving live football score show Final Score and flagship football shows Match Of The Day and MOTD2 Jason’s professionalism, warmth and humour makes him a massive hit with crowds at live events.
Jason is also a very proud member of the BBC Radio 2 family, presenting Good Morning Sunday along with Kate Bottley on Europe’s biggest radio station between 6 am and 9 every weekend. The Cardiff-born presenter has also fronted some of the BBC’s biggest television output including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, FA Cup finals, World Cup finals and the Six Nations. He’s made films for The One Show and he’s co-presented BBC One’s Crimewatch with Sophie Raworth and Kirsty Young.
Jason works between London, Salford and Cardiff and in broadcasting is one of today’s leading Welsh stars. He’s a fluent Welsh speaker – appearing regularly on Welsh language television station S4C. He even has time for his own show on BBC Radio Wales – where he fronts a phone-in – in the English language! He has travelled the world with the BBC fronting TV coverage from Brazil to the United States to Australia and is equally at home interviewing Hollywood A-listers and music stars as he is chatting with the biggest names in world football.
Jason co-owns a TV production company and has created his own media academy. Late 2021 saw the launch of the Jason Mohammad Academy at Cardiff and Vale College for young people seeking a career in broadcast and film – huge growth areas for the Welsh economy and helping to address current skills shortages in the creative industries.
Jason is a keen filmmaker having made TV documentaries on his faith in Mecca, his upbringing in Wales, and on architecture in Egypt. Jason’s new production company, Jams & Mr B has just completed its first show with Cardiff Productions – the story of Rugby League legend Clive Sullivan, the first Black man to captain England in any sport.
Given his unique ability to communicate, to chair, to present and to interact, some of the world’s biggest brands have booked Jason for awards and events including HP, UEFA, Mercedes and Maserati. Specialist Speakers was delighted to present Jason as host of the CIPR Excellence Awards live and in-person at City Central at the HAC Showground in London on 8 June! Jason Mohammad anchored at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
