Lawrence McGinty

Lawrence McGinty was previously the Science and Medical Editor for ITN. During his career he won awards including two BAFTAs for Channel 4 News and Best News or Outside Broadcast and two RTS awards for the best sports news report for the coverage of the drugs scandal at the Barcelona Olympics and the Kings Cross Disaster. Lawrence was awarded the Science Writer’s Fellowship of the Association of British Science Writers and has the Queen’s Silver Jubilee medal for his work on the New Scientist. He is the former chair of the Medical Journalists’ Association.

Lawrence chairs conferences and seminars and is a highly skilled facilitator and speaker.
