Dr Mark Porter

Mark is the medical correspondent for The Times and presents BBC Radio 4’s flagship medical series Case Notes. He is a familiar face to millions of people and one of the most experienced media medics in the UK.

Since joining the BBC he has worked across the corporation’s various media – he was Health Editor at the Radio Times for ten years and has been a regular on television, including three years presenting BBC 1’s consumer health programme Watchdog Healthcheck. Currently he presents Inside Health, a BBC radio 4 Series discussing health issues.

Mark spent five years working in hospital before moving into General Practice in where he still works today. Mark was appointed MBE for his services to medicine.
