Sophia Cannon is a political and social justice commentator.

Her forthright views on social justice have been acknowledged by all major territorial broadcasters, BBC, ITV and C4 as well as SKY News, for those self assured opinions on social justice issues.

She’s a popular regular with the BBC News Papers review team, BBC Radio 94.9fm and LBC Radio.

Sophia is of mixed Caribbean parentage, mother to mixed race, mixed sex twins, now married to Oscar. She once specialised in family law dedicated to child protection, having gone through the care system herself.

In the High Court as a barrister Sophia dealt with subjects such as mothers, fathers, contact (access), residence (custody), child abduction abroad, surrogacy, fertility, child support agency issues, divorce, maintenance, childhood disability, postnatal depression, domestic violence, education appeals, immigration, forced marriage grandparents and many other issues over a 10 year period.
