Ania Lichota believes that success is very much a by-product of who you are and how you are conditioned by the society of your early years. Born in communist Poland, she quickly learnt how to manoeuvre through an overshadowing social system, and carrying just one bag, she left Poland in 1996, committed to changing her life forever. Step one of this journey was to begin her studies at LSE in London.
Now a seasoned globe-trotter, Ania has visited 63 countries, climbed the highest peak on every continent including Everest, lived in nine countries, built schools in Nepal for over 300 children and worked in 17 countries. Using her four languages and formidable commercial skills, she has honed a succesful career in international finance.
Ania holds double MSc, MBA and PhD in International Leadership, as well as an MBA and PhD from Rushmore University in the US. Many of her life philosophies are explained in her international best seller: ‘Why the Hell Bother? How Climbing the Seven Summits changed my life’.
Ania has chaired a large London based charity and runs her own aid organization. She has served on the executive boards of All Bar None, London Women’s Forum and The Attlee Foundation. She received the Woman of the Year award in London and Inclusive and Inspirational Leadership award from the chairman of UBS chairman.
Ania regularly appears in the UK and Polish media, and delivers talks and workshops worldwide in leadership and personal development.
