Reinhold Messner

Italian explorer and mountaineer Reinhold Messner achieves the impossible.

One of the greatest mountaineers of all time, he made the first solo ascent of Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen.

Additionally, Messner has climbed all 14 of the world’s peaks that measure upwards of 8,000 meters, and crossed by foot the Antarctic, Greenland, Tibet, the deserts Gobi and Takla Makan.

Messner has built a network of museums dedicated to the art, culture, religion and mountain regions throughout the world. He has also established the Messner Mountain Foundation which supports the mountain races worldwide.

Beyond this, Messner in 1999, won a seat in the European Parliament, and is respected as an astute businessman.

His life is rich in experience and the lessons he delivers through his keynote talks are truly inspiring.
