Simon Schama

Simon Schama is Professor of Art History and History at Columbia University, a writer and presenter of landmark TV series History of Britain and a Wolfson Prize winning author. He was formerly art critic of the New Yorker and was awarded CBE in the 2001 New Year’s Honours list.

He is now writing the second volume of Story of the Jews, to be published next year. His collaborative book with the National Portrait Gallery, The Face of Britain: The Nation through Its Portraits, was published in 2015.
