Hal Cruttenden is a stand up comedian, actor and writer who has hosted Live at The Apollo and appeared on a host of television shows, including Have I got News For You, Mock the Week and Would I Lie to You. A radio regular, his sitcom ‘Hal’ goes out on Radio 4, where he stars as a stay-at-home husband trying to reinvent himself.
As a comedian Hal was runner-up for the best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh festival in 2002, his most recent show there was a sell-out and acted as a precursor to his live show which toured the nation throughout 2015 to widespread acclaim.
Prior to his career as comedian, Hal was a trained actor and has appeared on the likes of Eastenders and Kavanagh QC, before his award winning turn at Edinburgh set him down the path to comic success. Hal’s style perhaps takes some cues from his prior career, a proud ‘luvvie’ Hal combines a cheerful, camp demeanour with classic English repression and biting wit.
As a sponsor, and CIPR partner, Specialist Speakers was delighted to present Hal as host of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Awards at Old Billingsgate.
