Speaker Lucy Beresford is an award-winning psychotherapist, broadcaster, writer, and ‘warrior for women’. She is the author of four best-selling books, translated into languages across four continents, and her TEDx talk ‘Infidelity: to stay or to go?’ has been viewed on You Tube over 3 million times.
Best known for hosting a weekly Sex & Relationships phone-in show on LBC Radio, where she was known as ‘the naughty Mary Poppins’, Lucy hosts On The Couch podcast for Reaction magazine, and reviews the papers regularly for Sky and for Times Radio.
As a former investment banker Lucy is the CEO Whisperer and runs Shape Your Success to assist businesspeople, entrepreneurs and career high-flyers to pivot into their power. When offering talks and off-the-record roundtables in the corporate space, Lucy can address a variety of topics, from the perils of social media, the pressure people put on themselves, the warning signs of overwork and mental health, and bullying in the workplace. She has also applied her insight to help businesses understand clients, products, and brands.
Lucy works in private practice in London, where she advises and helps those in the public eye on dealing with the pressures of media scrutiny, addiction, performance anxiety, and the impact of the loss of fame. She also works with clients in the beauty and fashion industries, exploring why beauty is so crucial to our wellbeing.
She is also the author of the self-help book Happy Relationships: at home, work, and play, and three novels Something I’m Not, Hungry For Love, and Invisible Threads. Lucy is the founder of The Kindness Club, and its award-winning Refuge for Books scheme, which creates libraries in shelters run by the UK domestic violence charity Refuge.
