Rob Brydon

Rob Brydon

Rob is a host and comedian perhaps best known his irascible persona showcased in The Trip, alongside Steve Coogan. Rob presents BBC1’s flagship panel show Would I Lie to You, where he marshalls David Mitchell, Lee Mack and various guests as they attempt to pass off lies as the truth. He has also appeared on the award winning Gavin and Stacey, where he was nominated for a ‘Best Comedy Performance’ BAFTA.

Brydon came to prominence with Marion and Geoff, which he co-wrote and starred as the hapless taxi driver Keith, each episode delivered in monologue. Since then Rob hasn’t looked back, appearing on television shows such as Have I Got News For You, QI and Live at the Apollo. Equally capable as a character actor, he appeared as Ken Tynan for BBC Four’s Kenneth Tynan: In Praise of Hardcore. He’s also appeared alongside Steve Coogan in 24 Hour Party People and A Cock and Bull Story, both directed by Michael Winterbottom who also directed the pair in The Trip.

Rob is also seen on television enjoying the pleasures of a certain famous British cruise line.
