Daisy McAndrew is a journalist and news presenter who specialises in politics, economics and social issues. She was the co-host of the BBC’s The Daily Politics alongside Andrew Neil and presented the Yesterday in Parliament segment on BBC Breakfast.
After leaving the BBC, Daisy joined ITN, initially as the chief political correspondent, she later went on to become the ITV News Economics Editor. She now works on a freelance basis, and has appeared on This Morning, Sky News and BBC News as newspaper reviewer.
Daisy began her career at the age of nineteen, working as a researcher in the House of Commons, going on to edit House magazine and working as a freelance political journalist. She went on to become the the press secretary to Charles Kennedy, then leader of the Liberal Democrats. She stepped down from that position after the 2001 election and began making her first strides into broadcast journalism.
With expertise in Politics and Economics and a wealth of experience as a broadcaster, Daisy makes for a great awards host and excellent conference facilitator.
