MENUSpeaker Geoff Marshall is a leading authority and speaker on London, its transport history and development and its future. As an aside, he is also a two-times Guinness World Record holder, for travelling to all Underground stations in the fastest possible time. He is old enough to remember now-disused stations such as Ongar and Aldwych and has produced a series of online programmes for the Londonist website Secrets of the Underground currently with over six million views! In 2017 Geoff travelled with Vicki Pipe, to all 2,563 National Rail stations in Great Britain in the kickstarter-funded project All The Stations.
Geoff is a guide for ‘Hidden London’ – giving tours to Abandoned Tube Stations in London, is a guide for the London Transport Museum, and has written books, Tube Station Trivia and The Railways Adventures, plus he’s created an award-winning smartphone app. Geoff loves London, and in particular the architecture, history and growth of the city, shaped by its ever-evolving transport system.
As the capital changes again following Covid-19 Geoff gives us insights into its economic, demographic and transport future including HS2 and the design and development of the remarkable Elizabeth Line and HS2.
