BBC News presenter and correspondent Clive Myrie is a familiar face on BBC global news reporting worldwide.
After joining the BBC journalism trainee scheme Clive worked in local and national radio and television as a reporter. He now regularly presents breaking news bulletins for BBC1. As a foreign correspondent, Clive has seen postings in Japan, Washington, Asia, and Africa and as Europe Correspondent, covering hostilities ranging from Kosovo and Afghanistan to Iraq and disasters including the Mozambique floods.
His own specialist interests include US politics and he has covered the whole remit of the US campaigning of Presidential campaigns, including presenting a documentary of the life of President Barack Obama. Clive Myrie was awarded the title of Network Presenter of the Year and Television Journalist of the Year at the Royal Television Awards 2021. In that year Clive was announced as the new presenter of the long-running TV quiz, Mastermind.
