Iain Martin

Iain Martin is an author and commentator on politics, finance and defence.

Iain wrote one of the classic studies of the financial crisis – Making it Happen: Fred Goodwin, RBS and the men who blew up the British economy. He has written for the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Telegraph, and was editor of The Scotsman and then Scotland on Sunday.

His latest book is Crash Bang Wallop: the inside story of London’s Big Bang and a financial revolution that changed the world.

Iain founded pro-market news website Reaction with commentary and analysis on politics, economics, and culture. He is Director and founder of the London Defence Conference and is director of Engelsberg Ideas – ‘home to great writing from the world’s leading thinkers’.
