Camilla Cavendish is an award-winning journalist and former Head of the No 10 Policy Unit under David Cameron.
Camilla contributes as a columnist to the Sunday Times and to the Financial Times. She appears regularly on TV and has presented radio programmes on such topics as challenges of the age divide. She has won the Campaigning Journalist of the Year award and the Wincott Senior Financial Journalist award. Camilla Cavendish was awarded the Paul Foot Award for Investigative Journalism for her work on family courts and child protection issues.
Camilla led the UK government’s sugar tax legislation and the independent Cavendish Review of nursing. She served as a Non-Executive Director of the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulatory body for social care services in England. She is chair of Frontline, a non-profit organisation recruiting top graduates into social work.
As Baroness Cavenish she now sits in the House of Lords as an independent. She is a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School researching into the challenges of fast changing demographics.
