Marco Vicenzino is a leading specialist and commentator on American politics and in particular, the possible shape of a Trump Presidency and its impact upon Europe and the UK. His work includes analysis of the effects of Brexit on the continuance of the UK-USA special relationship in terms of both trade and defence. His analysis of geopolitics and risk in relation to US foreign policy, in particular the Middle East, East and South Asia and Latin America has been widely utilised by international business to understand how contemporary geopolitical developments and risks will impact them.
Vicenzino is an attorney and is an Oxford graduate in law. He is a fellow of the Foreign Policy Association in New York and is Director of the Global Strategy Project and senior advisor to PFC Energy, he also served as a strategic communications advisor to the World Bank and as Deputy Executive Director for the Washington, DC office of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. He has been a keynote speaker, panellist, and moderator at forums and conferences across the globe. As part of the U.S. State Department’s Strategic Speakers Initiative, he regularly addresses audiences’ internationally on critical issues of global relevance and frequently appears on CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera and other global media outlets.
He is a regular contributor to leading publications including the Financial Times, New York Times- International Herald Tribune, The Guardian, Politico, Le Figaro, El Mundo, Daily Star, Al Hayat, Hurriyet, South China Morning Post and Folha de Sao Paulo. He speaks Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, and provides regular commentary in these languages.
Vicenzino has served as founding member, general counsel, and head of business development of MapNetwork, an international technology enterprise and with the Council on Foreign Relations, National Press Club, French-American Foundation, Atlantik Brucke, US-Spain Council, BMW Foundation, German Marshall Fund, Aspen Institute’s Socrates Society, Aspen Berlin, Aspen Italia and the German Council on Foreign Relations.
