George Monbiot

George Monbiot is an author, travel writer and Guardian columnist, known for being an environmentalist and political activist.

When he isn’t butchering and cooking squirrels on BBC’s Newsnight, George campaigns as the founder of The Land Is Ours – a movement campaigning for right of access to the British countryside and its resources.

George has authored a number of books including Heat, which focused on climate change and the lobbyists (often working in the energy sector) who seek to discredit the concept. His most recent book, Feral focuses on the idea of rewilding the planet and returning it to a more natural state.
